The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) will offer 59 properties in the Visayas and Mindanao through an electronic public bidding (e-bidding) on August 26–27, 2026. Bids may be submitted starting 9:00 a.m. on August 26 until 1:00 p.m. on August 27, while the opening of bids will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.
Among the properties are three commercial assets located in Lugait and Naawan, Misamis Oriental. Lugait is known for its industrial area, while Naawan is an emerging location with opportunities for business and investment.
The remaining 56 properties include agricultural and residential lots, with or without improvements. Property sizes range from 92 square meters to 12.4 hectares, making them suitable for individuals, developers, agribusiness investors, and commercial enterprises.
The Visayas properties are located in Aklan, Antique, Bohol, Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental, and Negros Oriental. The Mindanao properties are located in Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Sultan Kudarat, and Zamboanga Sibugay.
The public bidding is open to all qualified buyers who register through the PDIC e-bidding portal. The portal also provides the property catalogue, bidding guidelines, documentary requirements, and downloadable forms for authorized representatives.
All properties are sold on an “as-is-where-is” basis. Buyers are encouraged to inspect the properties and review the bidding conditions before submitting their bids.
Winning bidders of agricultural properties must submit an Affidavit of Aggregate Landholdings and a certification from the Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) within 15 days after the e-bidding. These documents ensure compliance with agrarian reform laws and land ownership limits.
As the statutory receiver of closed banks, the PDIC sells remaining bank assets to recover funds and help pay creditors, including uninsured depositors. Proceeds from these sales are also used to support the Deposit Insurance Fund.
