Hope has arrived for Cancer patients in Taytay Rizal with the opening of “Free Chemo Center”

Taytay Chemotherapy Center officially opened its doors, marking a major milestone in expanding accessible, affordable, and patient‑centered cancer care for residents of Taytay Rizal and the rest of the province. The new facility aims to address the growing need for free oncology services and treatment in the Philippines, where cancer remains one of the country’s most urgent public health challenges. Chemotherapy treatment remains concentrated in major hospitals in Metro Manila, leaving many patients in surrounding provinces to travel long distances for chemotherapy sessions—often multiple times a month.

Despite the passage of the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA), many patients continue to struggle with late diagnosis, limited access to specialized care, and high out‑of‑pocket expenses. Chemotherapy alone can cost up to ₱120,000 per cycle, with total treatment reaching ₱5 million or more, pushing families into debt, asset liquidation, or treatment abandonment. With thousands of patients delaying or abandoning treatment due to cost, We Hope Medical Group is here to operate specialized medical facilities and programs that make treatments accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Through strong partnerships with LGU’s, National Government, and communities.

Taytay Chemotherapy Center, located at L. Wood St. Brgy. Dolores is designed to address the most pressing barriers faced by cancer patients. By situating the center within Taytay Rizal, We Hope Medical Group brings life-saving treatment closer to thousands of residents who previously had to travel far or postpone care due to cost.

“Our mission is simple: no cancer patient in Taytay, Rizal should ever be forced to choose between treatment and survival,” said Dr. John Paul Aclan, Chairman and CEO We Hope Medical Group. “This center is more than a facility—it is a promise to every Filipino family that compassionate, dignified Free cancer care is possible.” We Hope Medical Group’s expansion in the province of Rizal is part of its broader mission to build 100 Free Chemotherapy Centers nationwide, ensuring that every Filipino has access to life-saving cancer care.

The launch of the center was attended by Councilor Cai Cortez, Councilor Joan Calderon and LGU officials, who expressed their gratitude to We Hope Medical Group for expanding its services in their Municipality. The center is staffed by licensed oncology doctors, equipped with modern treatment facilities. Services include Consultation and Free chemotherapy sessions covered by PhilHealth, Cancer assistance fund, and other LGU programs. It also features Comfortable, patient-centered treatment bays, Holistic support programs including counseling and wellness guidance.  Patients who wish to avail the services could visit the center and present their valid ID and Philhealth MDR.
