To address the growing need for local cancer care, We Hope Medical Group has officially opened its newest branches in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija and Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. These standalone facilities are designed to bring critical cancer treatments closer to patients in the provinces, eliminating the need for long, exhausting, and stressful trips to major hospitals in Metro Manila.

According to data from the National Nutrition Council, breast cancer remains the most common cancer in the Philippines, with more than 33,000 new cases recorded each year. Meanwhile, lung cancer is the most common and fatal cancer among Filipino men, followed closely by colorectal cancer as the third most common type nationwide.

In light of these pressing health challenges, We Hope Medical Group chose Cabanatuan City and Urdaneta City as the strategic locations for its milestone expansion in Northern Luzon. As thriving cities, both Cabanatuan and Urdaneta serve as central economic and transport hubs for their respective provinces. Their high accessibility via public transportation ensures that patients from surrounding communities can also reach the facilities easily.

While standard chemotherapy services are traditionally located within major hospital networks in the region, We Hope Medical Group’s new facilities focus on Free Cancer care at no cost to the LGU. By providing a streamlined, standalone environment, the centers aim to shield cancer patients from the overwhelming bustle of general hospitals, offering a more seamless, comfortable, and compassionate healing journey.

Alignment with national healthcare programs is a core pillar of this expansion. In stride with other established branches of the We Hope Medical Group, life-saving oncology treatments at the new facilities will be provided free of charge to all active PhilHealth members, fully covered under the state health insurer’s expanded benefits packages.

Through a  public-private partnership with the local government units (LGUs) of Cabanatuan and Urdaneta, We Hope Medical Group aims to deliver these vital medical services to the residents of both cities and the broader populations of Nueva Ecija and Pangasinan. This collaborative effort is driven by a shared mission to drastically reduce the financial burden of cancer care, ensuring that local families never have to choose between their savings and their survival.

The Cabanatuan chemotherapy Center is located at Commercial Space 8 XP Builders Building Circumferential Road, Brgy. Ms. Garcia Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija while the Urdaneta Chemotherapy Center is at the Ground Floor of ES Bldg. Ambrosio St. Poblacion Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. Both centers are open daily, from Monday to Saturday, 8AM till 5PM.
